A unique theater presentation of an American classic

Greg Gathers

Greg Gathers and Marguerite Mathews, co-Artistic Directors of  Pontine Theatre, will present excerpts from The House of the Seven Gables on Wednesday, October 24, at 7 pm, in the library's Klumpp Room. This is part of our One Book, One Town month, which features this American classic novel by Nathaniel Hawthorne.
Pontine Theatre is known for its unique presentations, featuring live action, puppetry, and experimental theater techniques in a small, intimate theater experience. Plays are presented at their Portsmouth theater as well as on tour throughout New England. Previous performances at the Merrimack Public Library have included Silver Lake Summers, an e.e. cummings Revue, and Story of a Bad Boy, by Thomas Bailey Aldrich.
This event is for adults and teens. You don't need to read the book to attend. Reservations are recommend by visiting our online calendar, emailing, or calling 424-5021. We are grateful to the Friends of the Merrimack Public Library for their support of this event.
