You can sing along, too

Jackie & Gary
Folk duo Jackie and Gary will be at the library on Wednesday, October 3 at 7 pm to kick off One Book, One Town Month. This will be a fun evening of classic and new folk music that will conclude with a sing-along medley of songs you're sure to remember.

Jackie Davidson began her musical career playing the church organ at age 15. She was an original member of the New Christy Minstrels, who were regulars on The Andy Williams Show in the '60s and also performed on Hullabaloo, Shindig!, and the Tonight Show. She returned to the group for 5 years when they reunited in 2005. In between she performed in another duo, Jackie and Gayle, playing the banjo and singing.

Gary Brandt is a retired educator and coach from Michigan, who plays 12-string guitar. He currently works as a folklorist, singer, and songwriter. He and Jackie have been performing and touring together for two years. Their travels have taken them to the far corners of the US. We're happy to host them during their fall tour of the Northeast.

This concert is suitable for adults and teens. We're expecting a healthy turnout for this event, so we recommend you register to ensure we have a seat for you. Reserve seats at our online calendar, email us, or call 424-5021
