The staff and patrons are saying (or trying to avoid saying) goodbye to a staff member who has been at the library for 30 years. Jane Loughlin has been working at the circulation desk since 1981, longer than anyone here. She has seen many changes in technology over the years, from the card catalog to the online catalog, from that first computer that was available for public use, to several available computers on each floor, not to mention remote access for personal computers.

Jane has been a sunny, smiling face greeting our customers, and a caring and compassion friend. She will be sorely missed by patrons and staff alike. Please visit the library often, Jane, and enjoy your retirement to the fullest!
