A literary--and artistic--mystery in Scotland

The link below came to us from a library supporter, and we are as intrigued with the story as she was. Over the course of a few months earlier this year, a series of intricate sculptures made from books (most by Edinburgh writer Ian Rankin) began appearing in various libraries and literary archives. All carried notes professing "support of libraries, books, words, ideas..." but no clues as to the identity of the sculptor nor the means by which the sculptures were secreted into the various buildings.
