The "Moose" of Humor is Back!

Rebecca Rule,"Moose" of Humor
The irrepressible Rebecca Rule returns to the Merrimack Public Library on Wednesday, October 12, at 7 pm as part of our One Book, One Town month of Yankee stories. And no one can tell Yankee stories like Becky!
She travels around New Hampshire and other New England States, sharing her stories of small town characters and their foibles. (Presumably, she's also studying the audience for material for future stories.)

In addition to fiction writing and humorous speaking engagements, Becky can also be seen hosting the Friends of the UNH Libraries interview show, "The Authors Series" on New Hampshire Public Television. She's the author of Headin' for the Rhubarb! A New Hampshire Dictionary (well kinda), Live Free and Eat Pie: A Storyteller's Guide to New Hampshire, and three collections of short stories. Her audios are Perley Gets a Dump Sticker, and Better Than a Poke in the Eye. She has numerous magazine articles to her credit, and she serves on the steering committee for the NH Young Writers Conference.

Becky is great fun, so you won't want to miss this program, "Yankee Characters and Their Tru(ish) Stories." To guarantee a seat, you can register online, email us, or call 424-5021. Copies of Becky's books will be available for cash or personal check. So, to quote Becky's website, "If you need a good laugh to get you through the winter, take an hour off from relacing the snowshoes and spend it with Becky."
