Get Your Holds In A Text Message

You may now opt in to receive text messages for items you have on hold at the library. It is really simple to change your settings. To change your contact preferences sign in to your library card, click on the My Account tab and choose the Contact Information and Preferences menu on that screen. Once you have that menu open enter your mobile number into the mobile phone field and choose your carrier in the pull down menu next to where you entered your mobile number.

Finally right below the mobile phone field in Preferences choose your notification option. To receive text messages you must choose the TXT Message option in the My preference for receiving library notices pull down menu.

Please remember that text messages may not be free for you depending on your mobile plan, and the library will not be held responsible for any cost you may incur. This is a feature you have to opt into. Many patrons already receive email notices on their phones; the texting option is just another choice that is available to you.
