In the spring of 2010, Merrimack photographer Ken Harvey traveled to Nepal to take part in a trek/mission to deliver medical care, medication, and eyeglasses to remote villages in the Himalayas. What started out as an adventure became a life-changing experience. Harvey says that it was an honor to help the villagers who were desperately poor, yet gentle, friendly, and thankful.
On Wednesday, September 14 at 7 pm, Harvey will present a slide show of his "Medical Mission to Nepal" and will explain the purpose of the trip and the organization behind it. You can count on seeing some stunning photographs. Harvey recently exhibited a collection of his work at the library, and it was enjoyed by all visitors, so we are especially happy to have him share this documentary of his trip.
