A Helping Hand for the Out-of-Work

Tim McMahon
In 2010 we ran some programs on job searching, networking, and resumes for the unemployed. And still, there are just too many people looking for work. It's a tough job market, but when the going gets tough, the tough get going. With the large number of resumes on the HR desk, how do you get yours to the top of the pile? How can you make your application stand out?

That's where Tim McMahon and his seminar, Recharge Your Job Search, come in.  McMahon, a Career and Small Business Counselor, will bring his “Insider’s Job Search Tips” to the library in a two-hour program on Tuesday, October 11, at 6:30 pm. This seminar is designed to give you some fresh ideas to invigorate your job search and help you be more competitive in the job marketplace. Tim will show you where the jobs are (you might be surprised), how to get recruiters and companies to find you, interviewing secrets that make all the difference, how to write a resume that sets you apart from the crowd, and networking tips and techniques. All attendees will receive a link to download a complementary eBook copy of McMahon’s job search guide, The Book of "Job". Registration is recommended by visiting our website, calling 424-5021, or emailing.
