Russian art: Fabergé eggs and lacquer boxes

On Wednesday, April 27 at 7 pm, the Merrimack Library will welcome back artist and scholar Marina Forbes for another illustrated talk, this time on Fabergé eggs and lacquer boxes. Marina, who spoke here last year on matryoshkas, or Russian nesting dolls, is a native of St. Petersburg and frequently leads arts tours of Russia. Marina is Director of International Programs at the New England Language Center, icon painter and a frequent lecturer on Russian culture.

We are pleased to welcome back this enthusiastic and entertaining speaker with a Humanities-to-Go grant from the New Hampshire Humanities Council. The future of these grants is in jeopardy while our legislators in Washington grapple with the budget, so we hope you will take advantage of this opportunity while these grants are still available to support our programming. This program is open to all adults and teens. Reservations are encouraged by clicking here, calling 424-5021, or emailing.
