The New Hampshire Union Leader on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 had a nice article in the Hints from Heloise column. The writer communicated the fact that, while computers are great and provide good service, not everyone owns or can afford a computer. Many businesses now offer product information online, and also contact information, offers for contests, recipes, etc.
Heloise points out that many, especially the over-50 generation, the largest demographic of the country's population, may be left out if they do not own or have access to a computer. Luckily she does point out that many libraries, senior centers, etc., do allow access to computers for free.
It occurs to me that those who do not have access will not be reading this blog post. If you know of someone who needs computer access, please encourage them to visit the Merrimack Public Library.
