Joe Byron, founder of Honor Flight New England will visit the library on Tuesday, November 16 at 7 pm to talk about his program, which joined the national Honor Flight Network in the spring of 2009. This independent non-profit organization transports World War II veterans and terminally ill veterans of other wars to Washington, D.C., to visit and reflect at their memorials. This service is provided at no cost to the veteran. Come hear about this worthwhile program that honors our heroes for their service. Seating is limited, so registration is suggested by clicking here or calling 424-5021.
And just a reminder: The library will be closed on Thursday, November 11, in honor of Veterans Day.
