A New Job at Your Fingertips

The library has a large collection of job hunting and career exploration books on display near the Reference Desk. Update your resume, write a dynamic cover letter, and prepare for your interview using these helpful tools. Most of our public PCs have resume-writing software installed. Just plug in your employment and education history and the program formats your resume. There are a number of career-specific templates from which to choose. This is especially helpful to people who have not had to write a resume in the recent past.

We also have online access to Job Search and Workplace Skills Courses that will prepare you for various aspects of job hunting and establishing yourself successfully in a new position. Click here and scroll down to Learning Express Library to log in with your Merrimack Library card and PIN/password. You can then create and personalize your own account. This product can also be used on the library's computers without card or PIN.

Finally, we have useful links on our website that will lead you to online job banks and networking opportunities. This page is changing often as we learn of new sites that will help you. Click here to visit the page.
