Help for the Unemployed, Underemployed, and Unhappily Employed

The library will host Career Counselor Susan Posluszny on Wednesday, November 4 from 6:30 to 8:30. Susan will talk about "Ovecoming Obstacles in a Tight Job Market." Times have seldom been tougher for job seekers, and we're presenting this program in hopes of helping people arm themselves with tools for coping with one of life's most significant stressors--unemployment.

Susan will also talk about evaluating and polishing skills for possible career--not just job--changes. She'll also talk about self-employment as an option and how to deal with the emotional aspects of job loss.

Registration is not required, but is suggested so we can be sure to have enough handouts. Email us, visit this link, or call 424-5021 to register.

Also, stop by our table of job search resources for books on job hunting, resume writing and interviewing skills. There are also some handouts about other job hunting tools we offer. This table will be coming down sometime in November to make room for the Lioness Club's Operation Santa Christmas tree, followed by the tax form display. If you don't see it, please ask at the Reference Desk for what you need.
