Investing in an Uncertain Market

Investing money can be a scary subject even in the best of times, but in today's troubled economy, it's downright terrifying. We all know people whose paper losses have been considerable, and many of us are those people. It's tough to decide whether to hold 'em or fold 'em.

That's why we've invited Annie Daigle, a Registered Representative of Lincoln Financial Securities Corporation, to present "Investing in an Uncertain Market" on Wednesday, May 13 from 6:30-8:30 pm. Whether you're a seasoned investor or just starting out, this program explains that the keys to investment success during market fluctuations are to remain calm, ride out short-term uncertainties, and stay focused on long-term objectives. Annie will show you how to:
  • Set realistic expectations when it comes to the market
  • Stick to sound strategies that can help you cope with market uncertainty and stay focused on long-term goals: ~ buy and hold ~ regular investing ~ diversification
  • Utilize the principles of sound investing: ~ asset allocation (before and after retirement) ~ choose an investment mix that creates a source of income for the future ~ importance of portfolio rebalancing
  • Customize portfolios in a way that best suits your long-term financial objectives

This program is an overview of the topic, but not a sales presentation for specific investments or companies' services, nor an endorsement by the library. Everyone will be offered an opportunity to schedule a complimentary consultation to discuss their individual concerns as a continuation of the program.
