Another War, Another Mother's Story

Those of us who've lived our lives in the age of television know well the images of grieving families as they bury their loved ones who lost their lives fighting for freedom. But 150 years ago, when the American Civil War raged, the death of a soldier son was private, though no less devastating. On Monday, April 13th, at 7 pm. character actress Sharon Wood brings us the story of Betsey Jackson, mother of a New Hampshire soldier who died heroically at Gettysburg, in "A Soldier's Mother Tells Her Story." This program is generously supported by the New Hampshire Humanities Council and is free to all, but registration is strongly recommended. Seating is limited and the program is filling fast, so please reserve your seat by calling 424-5021 or emailing.
