March is Women's History Month

Check out this month's display of books for Women's History Month. With women currently serving in powerful positions, national, state and local, it's easy to forget less than 100 years ago, women couldn't even vote, much less run for office. On the display, we have some biographies of groundbreaking women, chronicles of women's rights campaigns, and works by eminent female writers and poets.

The library has a copy of a new title, Women at the Table: 40 Intimate Profiles of Political Women of the Northeast, which includes a chapter on Merrimack legislator Maureen Mooney. Author Michaeline Della Fera will speak at the library in October as part of our One Book, One Town month. We'll have more information about that in September.
