Job Opportunities with the 2010 Census

Every ten years since 1790, the United States has taken a census count of its citizens. The decennial census data--far more complex today than ever before--is used for everything from apportioning Congressional representation to planning product marketing. The size and scope of the upcoming 2010 census is mind-boggling.

The U.S. Census Bureau will be hiring thousands of temporary workers to assist with various parts of data collection and processing. Jobs will pay from $11 to $18 an hour, depending on the position. Preliminary testing for potential workers will be offered at the Merrimack Town Hall on Wednesday, December 17. There will be one session from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and another from 1 to 3 p.m. Please bring two forms of identification. For more information, call 1-866-861-2010.
