NH Teen Readers' Choice Awards: The Flume and The Isinglass Award

Voting for this year's Flume Award and Isinglass Award will be wrapping up soon. The Flume Award will be wrapping up on April 30th and the Isinglass Award will be wrapping up on May 5th. The Flume Award is a readers' choice award for grades 9-12 and the Isinglass Award is a readers' choice award for grades 7-8.

The books on these lists are chosen by NH teens, and reviewed by NH librarians. They all have some aspect that has teen appeal. There are brochures with summaries for each book, and ballots are available in the Young Adult section. Check out the lists, there are some good reads for teens on them.

Last year (2007) the book Twilight by Stephenie Meyer was the consensus winner between the two awards. New Moon her follow-up to Twilight is on this year's Flume list, and may have a chance to take this year's award too! Teens, let your voices be heard and vote for the books that you think deserve to win the awards.
