Experiencing John F. Kennedy

The library will kick off National Library Week on Monday, April 14, with "JFK Experience," a one-man show starring Mike Lowe of Braintree, MA. The show consists of short segments from Kennedy's speeches, delivered as if by the late president, along with explanations of historical background, context, and public reaction to the speeches.

Older listeners will remember the days when the young Kennedy family lived in the White House and JFK's speeches inspired us with his message of hope, duty and spirit. Younger listeners who did not share that first-hand experience will be fortunate to hear those words delivered by Mike Lowe with the same passion.

This free program has been generously co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library, and will begin at 7 p.m. Seating is limited, and reservations are strongly recommended by calling 424-5021 or sending an email. For more information about Mike Lowe and his presentation, you can visit his website.
