The Next Harry Potter?

While no one could deny that J. K. Rowling is a masterful storyteller and many people have rediscovered the joy of reading through Harry Potter, I must admit I've always preferred Philip Pullman's heroine Lyra from The Golden Compass. With the movie version being released in December 2007, the His Dark Materials trilogy will receive some well-deserved attention. Read it before the rush!
