The Best Revenge

In anticipation of our One Book, One Town programs planned for October, we have borrowed 45 copies of The Best Revenge: Short Stories by Rebecca Rule. Ask for a copy at the circulation desk. If you are not familiar with this author’s work, you are in for a treat. Raised in rural New Hampshire, she writes of her experiences of small town life and politics, but with a humorous bent. I myself have decided to read one or two stories a day, rather than devour the whole book. That gives time to contemplate each individual story. We’ve all known people like those described.

The last time Rebecca Rule visited the library and told her stories of life in New England, she also allowed some in the audience to share their anecdotes and they were very funny.

Please join us for one or more of the programs planned throughout the month. Meet the author on Monday, October 1, from 7:00-8:00 pm, when copies of her books will be available for purchase and to have autographed. Join us for the book discussion on Wednesday, October 17, at 7:00 pm to discuss the book with the writer.
