Do-It-Yourself and Read a Yellow Book

This month we have a great display of books for do-it-yourselfers. From indoor projects to backyard furniture, storage units to custom mailboxes, kids' play equipment to stone walls, we have books to inspire and instruct. The display books may be borrowed, and there are many more like them on the shelves. Just ask at the reference desk for assistance.

Our "small" book display, which sits opposite the stairs to the lower level, features "yellow" books. All of the books on the display are, well, yellow--they all have yellow jackets (which is not to be confused with the flying kind that can sting you.) Among the yellow books are such diverse titles as The Annotated Classic Fairy Tales, edited by Maria Tatar; Kinds of Love, by May Sarton; The Tail of the Tip-Off, by Rita Mae Brown; and Fire in the Lake, by Frances Fitzgerald. So this month, you can judge a book by its cover--if it's yellow, read it! Watch for more "colored" displays in the future.
