Women in History

In honor of Women’s History Month, the reference display for March is dedicated to women in history. The library owns copies of First Generation: Women in Colonial America by Carol Berkin, Pioneer Women by Joanna L. Stratton, Marie Curie and the Science of Radioactivity by Naomi Pasachoff, and Indira Gandhi: an Intimate Biography by Pupul Jayakar.

How about browsing The 100 Most Influential Women of All Time by Deborah G. Felder or What Every American Should Know about Women’s History by Christine Lunardini, Ph.D.? These are just a few of the many books on the subject. Come in to check out the display and to suggest your favorites.

The Merrimack Library and the entire staff are wonderful. Everything I need or want is always available. I have noticed the library is getting busier and more crowded as time goes on. My only negative comment, the after school kids take up computer time messaging with their friends and basically overcrowds the place until 5:00 or later.
