Day at the Museum

More than once in the past few years, I've found myself in an admission line feeling like I'm holding one of Willy Wonka's golden tickets. In my case, the wonderful piece of paper didn't come from a candy bar, but from the library - a library museum pass.

Museum passes save you and your family money on admission while allowing you to experience nearby cultural and educational treasures. Using one of the museum passes, my family was able to save $27.80 on our admission to the New England Aquarium.

Regular AdmissionWith Museum Pass
2 Adults ($17.95 each)-- $35.902 Adults ($7 each) -- $14.00
2 Children ($9.95 each) -- $19.902 Children ($7 each) -- $14.00
Total Admission -- $55.80Total Admission -- $28.00

Be sure to call in advance to reserve museum passes. They are very popular - especially during school vacation weeks. Some passes are simply tickets you bring to the museum, others are actual passes that you will need to return to the library. Please remember to bring your library card with you when you're picking up a reserved pass.
